The power of thoughts changes your skin
Isabella LandebackAccording to Chinese medicine, your Lung organ controls the condition of your skin, as the skin is the first barrier between the external environment and the internal. It is also part of our defensive energy. Emotions that affect the lung's energy phase are unprocessed grief. That is, if you have lost a loved one, gone through a divorce, or experienced something difficult that you haven't processed, it can create an imbalance in the lung's energy. The skin reveals the state of emotions. Stress can also negatively affect the skin by making it dry and sensitive, causing rashes, and worsening acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
5 things you can do to get your thoughts back on track:
Deep breathing
Focus on deep breathing, count to 3 as you inhale and count to 6 as you exhale, through your nose. When organs get the oxygen they need, it positively affects the skin. See the calming breathing exercise with Jason Millne below.
Positive thoughts
Try to focus on what you have control over. There's no point in putting your energy into what you cannot control. You choose how you react to your emotions; don't let emotions control you/your thoughts.
Ditch the victim mentality
A good motto is: You're not what happened to you, but what you choose to become. // Carl Jung
Seek help
If you find it difficult to get over something that makes you sad. Don't dwell on sad thoughts for too long; it drains your defensive energy and can make you more susceptible to illness.
Laugh and enjoy more
Laughter and enjoyment release the happiness hormone oxytocin. When we enjoy ourselves or laugh, the "happiness hormone" oxytocin, which is formed in the pituitary gland and is also a neurotransmitter (a substance that transmits impulses between nerve cells), is secreted. It enhances the feeling of well-being and lowers stress levels. Remember - a happy person is the most beautiful thing there is! The world's best beauty hack!
